A place to park
The Karl von Kocks
Memorial Carport

Haus St. Elisabeth served as an abbey for nuns, as a retirement and reconvalescence home and finally as temporary housing for asylum seekers. None of the members if these groups usually have cars so that the complete lack of parking places at the house was not a problem.

Since we need and have a car this did present a problem for us, so we began by removing part of the front wall and removed some large trees.

Sometime later we had the tree stumps removed and the ground prepared for surfacing. Then, about 18 months later, through the overwhelming generosity of a friend we are able to have a large carport constructed.

We hope to surface the whole area with paving stones by the fall of 2007.
